Pep Guardiola And Wife Cristina Serra Part Ways After 30 Years Of Marriage

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola and his wife, Cristina Serra, have amicably separated after three decades as a couple.

According to SPORT, the separation has been described as “cordial, stable, and friendly.” Reports suggest that the couple grew apart after spending extended periods in different countries due to Guardiola’s managerial career.

Guardiola and Serra, who met in 1994, tied the knot in 2014 in a private ceremony near Barcelona. They share three children: Maria, 24, Marius, 22, and Valentina, 17.

While Guardiola has been based in Manchester for his role as City’s manager, Serra has been living in Barcelona full-time. A Brazilian journalist by profession, Serra has often been seen accompanying Guardiola at events over the years.

The decision to end their marriage was reportedly made in December, though it was initially kept within their inner circle. Friends and family were also advised not to disclose further details regarding the separation.

Serra relocated to Barcelona permanently in 2019 to manage her family’s fashion business, Serra Claret. Despite speculation about his future at Manchester City, Guardiola signed a contract extension in November, committing to the club until 2027.

The couple’s split marks the end of a long-standing relationship but is said to have been handled with mutual respect and understanding.
