wow! Poster, I wish I can say that I am sorry for your loss but I am not and someday you wont be either. This is all part of yur life journey and it will hopefully prepare you for a better future. The world is full of fakes; either with people or inanimate object. The reason for this is cuz the world is full of dishonest people. If you asked everyone on np (male or female), at least 99% of them have either had a bad experience in relationship at sum point in their life or directly linked to ppl who av. The best thing is to identify a bad relationship as quickly as possible and walk away before it has a chance to cause bigger damage than neccessary. However, if you do not handle things careful, yu may end up becoming very resentful and bitter- trust me that is not a gud look. In my opinion, a vast majority of those that cause havoc in relationships have been victims in the past n let their bitterness take control n so they hurt other ppl they come across. This create a snowball effect that leads to what we have noe. I wud advise giving every relationship yu go into a very fair chance of success n one day it will pay off. In the meantime, try and stay away from girls who are materialistic in nature. I have never asked a guy to pay my bills, buy me stuff etc and I know a lot of my frns who r like that.
