I suppose it takes extra inner strength for someone to bring up a very personal issue like this for people to advice him on, the least we can do is to feel empathize with him.

You said your children comes into your room maybe for wee or hugs, since mother inlaw is going to be around for two months, she should help you out with those and close your door. It is not proper for children of 2 and 4 to see those things now and PLEASE respect your mother inlaw, two months is not two hundred years. As your wife to minimise the screams and shouts. God help you.
