The Nigerian Navy have arrested Three vessels with unspecified amount of illegally refined products along the Escravos offshore in Warri, Delta State

The crew of thirty three members has been handed over to officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission for investigation.

Ovieteme George reports that three vessels anchor at the jetty of NNS Delta after being arrested in January by personnel of the Navy.

The vessels are laden with a large content of illegally refined petroleum product with 33 Nigerians labelled suspect on board.

The Navy said the vessels were not with any valid document of approval from the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, the Department Of Petroleum Resources and the required Nimasa Seafarers Certificate.

The vessels and suspects have been handed over to officials of the anti -graft agency. Also arrested is a tugboat with a badge conveying illegal products.
