Video Of Police Officer Assaulting Man In Port Harcourt

A video has captured the moment a police officer assaulted a man in Port Harcourt, the Rivers state capital. In the viral video, the gun-toting officer was seen using a cane to flog the man "Why are you flogging me? Did I steal?" the man asks the officer in pidgin English. The man then collects the cane from the officer who then proceeds to slap him twice on the face and orders him to walk to his car.

A second police officer is seen rough handling the man's female companion. Viewers have expressed outrage after watching the video and are questioning why police brutality has not abated.

I wish I didn't see this video cos it's really infuriating!! That so called police officer should be found and prosecuted, he's not fit to be a police officer and the young guy must be apologised to and compensated accordingly. This is just exactly what I said in my last comment, Nigerians are not properly educated to understand their actual duties and responsibilities in  official positions, they're just placed in an office without training, this explains why a police officer will be working with a cane and even shamelessly using it on people they're supposed to protect
