The state government in a press statement through the Commissioner of Information and Communication Pastor Abraham Yiljap said these are but rumours and texts of reports that have been placed completely out of context.
According to him the incident referred to was an action by terrorists who, after displacing the villagers through previous fatal attacks returned to burn their houses.
The statement further added that security agencies took prompt action by repelling the attackers in their misadventure, resulting in no casualty on the communities.
Yiljap noted that every report will be treated on its merit, adding that government is appealing to citizens not to engage in sending misleading text messages and rumours.
The commissioner further said media agencies should take every step to verify their reports before going to press.
