I cannot eat without smoking Indian hemp – Suspect

ONE of the suspects paraded by the Public Relations Officer of the 4 Mechanized Brigade of the Nigerian Army, Captain Rose Managbe, Kennedy Eromosele Friday in Benin said he smokes Indian hemp because it makes him to eat well.

"I smoke Indian hemp before I work. It makes me eat well", he said.

Kennedy Eromosele, was among five suspects arrested when the JTF code named Operation Thunder Storm raided a suspected criminal hideout at Obehi Avenue , off 2nd Ugbor Road , Benin City .

Other suspects arrested are Nosa Okoro, Noruwa Okoro, Miss Precious Aimusu and Miss Sharon Ehiororo.Captain Managbe while parading the suspects said four big size cutlasses, one big hammer, wrap of substance suspected to be Indian hemp and one Military Kit bag where the cutlasses and the hammer were hidden, were found at the hideout.

She disclosed that the owner the apartment was on the run, adding "there were marks of foot prints on the wall close to a man hole in the ceiling, indicating frequent entry and exit of the ceiling. The suspects could not explain what the ceiling was used for. The 5 suspects claimed not to be staying in the house permanently".

Speaking on behalf of the Brigade Commander, Brigadier General Pat Akem, Captain Managbe appealed to members of the public to always feed security agencies with vital information that will assist in the fight against criminals in the state.
