Nigerian OAP Toolz Loses Dad, King Oniru .

Popular monarch,  Oba Abiodun Oniru , the father of popular On-Air personality, Toolz, has passed on.

He was aged 82. He passed on, today, at his Palace in Iru, Victoria Island, Lagos.



A first-class monarch in Lagos, His Royal Majesty, Oba Idowu Abiodun Oniru, has reportedly died on Monday.

While there has been no official statement from the family or the palace, Pulse exclusively reported that the 82-year-old monarch passed away at his Oniru Palace earlier today.

In accordance with Yoruba culture, the death of a monarch is not always announced until after some rites are performed.

The late monarch is the father of popular radio presenter, Tolulope Oniru-Demuren better known as Toolz.

Oba Abiodun Oniru was born on 6 September 1937, the 12th of the 15 children. His father was the long-reigning Oba Yesufu Oniru, who died at the age 120 in 1984.
