The love affair between two Nigerian medical doctors, Olufunmilayo and Bolanle Aseyan is taking the turn for the worst very quickly as the later has now filled official segxwal assault charges against her former lover, Dr. Olufunmilayo who she now refers to as cohabitant. In her last and latest message on Twitter, Bolanle said she has now fled official complain to the police - here is her message:
Dr Funmilayo Ogunsanya, I have filed my charges and the police are with me at the moment. I have no further say in this as I’ve been advised to not say anything anymore or post any evidence on this issue online. Let the truth prevail.

The way segxwal assault charges work in the UK is very different from how such cases are handled in Nigeria. The level of seriousness that is used to handle such abuse cases in the UK is unparalleled. At the minimum, we can expect that Dr. Olufunmilayo not to practise his medical duties for at least the next one year while investigations are ongoing. If found guilty at the end of the investigation, he will be jailed and deported back to Nigeria. This story is one that breaks my heart, it appears these two former lovers with "larger than life" ego were a very toxic match for each other, but the desire for the picture-perfect relationship and public romance has driven both of them to a very terrible place. Regardless of how this looks, it is very bad for Dr. Olufunmilayo and this remains one of the events that he will remember for the rest of his life.
