A 9-year-old girl simply identified as Ayinke has been found wandering about on a farm in Osun State.
The Ministry of Women, Children and Social Affairs in a statement issued on Thursday announced that Ayinke was found abandoned at Fasugba farmland, along Ilesa- Ife Express Road.
In the statement signed by Modupe Irelewuyi, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry on Wednesday said, a good Samaritan found the girl abandoned in the bush.
According to the statement, “the abandoned girl’s case, who was discovered in the bush had earlier been reported at the Nigeria Police Station, Osu, Atakunmosa West Local Government Area, Osun State before notifying the Ministry.”
The statement enjoined members of the public with relevant information concerning Ayinke to assist in the possible location of her parents.
