The Federal Capital Territory Command of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps on Wednesday sealed three private guard companies for non-registration and non-renewal of licence.

While Ochacho Security and Justigo Security and Allied Services were sealed for non-renewal of licence, Maco Security Services was sealed for not registering with the corps as stipulated by the law.

The command also arrested some guards of the sealed firms.

The FCT Commandant, NSCDC, Olusola Odumosu, told journalists that it was illegal to practise without registration or with expired licences, describing the situation as a threat to national security.

Odumosu promised that the firms would be re-opened for business after meeting all the requirements.
