Tragically, the children's mother had left them alone in the house, presumably to attend to errands, when the inferno broke out. Despite frantic attempts by neighbors to rescue the youngsters, the ferocity of the fire and thick smoke thwarted their efforts.
Responding swiftly, the state fire department dispatched units to contain the blaze, but their endeavors proved futile against the raging flames. The exact cause of the fire remains unclear, leaving the community grappling with questions and grief. Usman Abdullahi, a resident of Madina Quarters, expressed bewilderment at the circumstances, noting the rarity of the mother leaving her children unattended.
