President Bola Tinubu has commiserated with elder statesman and former minister of defence, Professor Iya Abubakar, over the passing of his wife, Ummu Abubakar.
According to a press release issued by his spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale, Hajiya Ummu Abubakar passed away in Abuja at the age of 78.
Morning her passing, the President said the deceased, who was also the mother-in-law of the National Security Adviser (NSA), Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, would be remembered for her devotion to God and dedication to family values.
Tinubu prayed for God’s mercy on the departed and urged her family to maintain the good name she left behind.
