Passengers on a GUO Transport bus traveling from Lagos to Aba were left in shock and fear after the driver allegedly threatened to kill anyone who reported his unruly behavior to the company’s management.
The alarming incident began when the bus, scheduled to depart from GUO’s Old-Ojo station in Lagos at 7:00 am, was delayed by station managers, leaving passengers stranded until 8:30 am. As the journey got underway, the driver, identified as Nonso, reportedly drove the bus around Ogun State for three hours in search of fuel, further frustrating the passengers.
When passengers voiced their dissatisfaction with the driver’s conduct, Nonso allegedly responded with a chilling threat, warning that he would kill anyone who dared to report him to GUO management. The threat left passengers fearing for their safety as the journey continued.
The situation worsened when the bus reached Owerri at 1:00 am, far behind schedule. Exhausted and agitated, the passengers were shocked when the driver abruptly ended the trip, allegedly locking the bus and leaving them stranded in the middle of the night.
Despite having paid N32,000 for the journey, passengers were informed they would not receive any refund. Instead, they were instructed to board a local bus to complete their journey to Aba, adding to their frustration and disappointment.
The incident has sparked outrage among the passengers, who are now demanding accountability and action from GUO Transport to address the driver's behavior and the poor service they received.
