As the victim was sworn in by the court clerk she shook with rage, undid her headtie, and adopted a "today na today" stance.
The defense lawyer strode majestically across the room to cross examine the victim puffed up by almost certain victory and asked, "What proof do you have that my client robbed you ?".
The woman on hearing that question put to her with so much smugness lost her temper and began to scream in court.
"What proof ?! It was him that robbed me" she said pointing at the accussed. "In this Owerri, broad daylight. This Onioshi, he robbed me on Okigwe road. That ugly face, those tribal marks and that ugly squint. I now have nightmares daily !!"
"Objection your honour !" screamed the defense lawyer on seeing the jury being swayed to the victim's side.
