Captain Joseph James, the Army Punlic Relations Officer for the Brigade told P.M.NEWS that the cultists who belong to the KKK group were holding a meeting at the Hawkins cemetery located in Calabar South at about midnight when information reached the soldiers who went to the place and made the arrests.
Captain James said 12 of the suspected cultists were arrested while two others who had fled the venue of the nocturnal meeting were arrested on the road.
James said that the army had been on a manhunt for the cultists that harassed, intimidated and inflicted injury on innocent citizens last week.
He explained that 93 people were arrested last week and that the army interrogated and did documentations on them to ascertain those that are cultists while innocent ones among those arrested were set free.
The 14 persons arrested, he added, have been handed over to the State Criminal Investigation Department of the State Police Command, saying that the army was ready to smoke out those criminal elements that were disturbing the peace of the people.
Captain James further said that the intelligence unit of the army was still working hard to fish out all the culprits involved in the mayhem.
