Nigerian comedian Basketmouth is flying high. He recently hosted his first Comedy Central presents Live... At Parker's special in South Africa (airing on Comedy Central on Fri 14 June), a first for a Nigerian comedian.
The funny man, whose real name is Bright Okpocha, has entertained audiences for years, from Nigeria and Germany to Britain and the Netherlands. And soon he will share the magic with American audiences when he takes his Uncensored tour to the States next month.
Basketmouth also connects with TV audiences once a week with the MTV Base programme, The Big Friday Show (Fridays on DStv channel 322 at 20:00).
DStv caught up with Basketmouth on his trip to South Africa to find out what the Comedy Central gig means to him and what the funniest thing about Nigeria is.
