Nigeria’s Olympics football team, Dream Team VI, has finally landed in Manaus, Brazil ahead of their Group B clash against Japan in the wee hours of Friday. The team play their first match against Japan at 9pm Brazilian time (2am Friday Nigerian time), less than seven hours after their arrival.
The squad were delayed yesterday in Atlanta because of a problem with the payment for a flight to Rio..

Nigeria has billionaires who are hiding our money (better still, their money) in foreign banks; but, we have no philanthropists who are enthusiastic of Nigerian soccer teams. Instead of enriching other countries' economy, these rich men could at least transport the players/team to Rio without delay. I wonder what type of result we would expect from players who are going through jet lag. Well, I will root for them and have my chaplet in the water - praying for miracles. I will watch it live.
