A yet to be identified woman in a viral video tied up her landlord husband’s legs and hands during the International Women’s Day celebrations in Calabar, Cross River State.

The incident occurred on Sunday, March 8, 2020 in Calabar South local government area when women all over the world were celebrating the 2020 International Women’s Day with the theme: “Each for Equal (#EachForEqual).

The woman didn’t only tie up her husband, she also used polythene bag and rag in an attempt to suffocate him.

According to neighbors, the landlord is a drunk who steals his wife’s money to buy illicit drinks and give to other women too.

“The woman said she’s tying her husband to limit him going about drinking and getting drunk. She said she wants him to have sense just like every other man and that she can’t continue suffering while the man takes her money to spend anyhow”, one of the neighbours said.

It took the intervention of the residents to free the man and save the man from suffocation from the poly teen bag used to cover his head – as seen by the video posted online.
