Sam Adeyemi, the Senior Pastor of Daystar Christian Centre, has urged Nigerian youths to continue to insist on the government’s implementation of the 5for5 demands.

Following the EndSARS protests, youths had presented the five demands to the Federal Government.

However, Adeyemi urged the youths to use the opportunity they currently have to push for reforms that would make Nigeria a better place.

The clergyman, in a series of tweets, called on Nigerian youths to carry themselves along in pushing for a better country.

According to Adeyemi: “You need a strong ideology to lay the foundation for a new nation. Nations are built on ideologies. Decide on a few short, medium and long term objectives. Example; short term (#ENDSARS), medium term (influence political process), long term (make Nigeria a developed economy).

“Carry as many people as possible along by communicating your vision for building a developed economy. This is real work. Morph the protest into town hall meetings. Be innovative with your messaging, using local languages. A large chunk of citizens are barely educated.

“Please sell the vision of a developed Nigeria to your brothers and sisters in all regions (north, south, east, west, etc.), and in all sectors including the civil service, business, military, and those labeled hoodlums, considering each group’s peculiar challenges.

“For the deprived, connect by meeting their basic needs. Stories work best in communication. If in the diaspora, describe how things work in all sectors where you live (owning a house, obtaining drivers license, running a business, education, infrastructure, leadership, etc).

All what he said is for the youth to ask for better Nigeria. It is our responsibility to hold our government accountable. It is unfortunately you calling the youth fighting for better Nigeria ignorant. The main reason why the govt using tactics of shooting protesters is because of coward people like you. We need to soro soke

.   I still believe #EndSARS protest, was never the Idea of the Nigerian Youths. It was someone's Idea. It was the Idea of an evil man desirous to bring this Govt down, having realised he was never going to achieve his ambition of ruling us in his lifetime. The way the youths kept moving the Goal Post, even when their demands were met, should signal to you they were never going to leave our streets until they achieved their Aim- Kill Buhari. You know they were demanding for the man to approach them mano a mano. If the President had done, that would have been the end of the man.

For argument sake , lets say you are right that not the youth started protest that hidden agenda by someone. The demand of the protest was clear, peaceful and it is our constitutional right. The government created environment for protest cos the state of the country is nothing to write about that is a fact. The true fact is that present governments are evil for what happened in Lekki and no one can take responsibility, lots of version of what happened by the govt. The govt can’t tell us who is responsible and you think we should not speak up no matter who started the protest. If you want the best for Nigeria we need to start asking questions and making them accountable, they serve us and we need them to provide the necessary amenities for our daily activities. No more hin go better now is soro soke

To form a political party is not that easy, i think what the Youths need to do is to use a reliable already formed Political party and put their efforts in getting proper momentum. One Love
