The arrest of Bishop Godfrey, the General Overseer and founder of a new generation church, has caused a significant stir in Agbarho, Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State. He was apprehended by police for allegedly attempting to kidnap a fellow bishop.
During a search of his residence, police found three Army uniforms and over 20 SIM cards.
Bishop Godfrey was detained alongside his wife, an Assistant Pastor, and several elders and other church members.
Following his initial escape upon learning of his associates' arrests, Bishop Godfrey was eventually located and detained by the Ughelli Police A’ Division.
The discovery of military uniforms and multiple SIM cards suggests potential involvement in broader criminal activities, raising serious concerns within the community.
