The national leadership of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has congratulated Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu on her 64th birthday, describing her as a beacon of hope for Nigerian women and youths.
A message signed by President of CAN, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, on Sunday in Abuja, however tasked the first lady to deepen her advocacy for the marginalised and voiceless Nigerians in dire need of succour.
The message reads:
“As first lady, Mrs. Tinubu has shown a strong commitment to various social causes, particularly in agriculture, women’s empowerment, education, healthcare, and philanthropy.
Her efforts in these critical sectors are commendable and reflect a deep understanding of the challenges facing our nation. “However, it is crucial to acknowledge the pressing issues many Nigerians face today.
Rising inflation, insecurity, and the ongoing struggle for basic necessities have significantly impacted countless families.
As we celebrate the first lady’s contributions, we must also call for renewed dedication from all levels of government to address these pressing concerns”.
