A female trader named Mrs. Gladys Ibrahim reportedly collapsed after losing ₦275,000 at the Abaji Main Market in the Abaji Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) on Thursday. According to an eyewitness identified as Gambo, the woman discovered that the money she intended to use for purchasing melons was missing when she reached into her handbag.

Mrs. Ibrahim, who travels from Auchi in Edo State every five market days to buy large quantities of melon and groundnut, was severely shocked by the loss and subsequently collapsed. The incident caused concern among the market traders, who quickly poured water on her to help revive her.
