Hello!

My name is Mark, and I study linguistics at the University of Edinburgh. Currently, I am examining the impact which the use of Nigerian Pidgin in the media and entertainment is having upon social attitudes towards it. In particular, I am interested in Nollywood, comedy shows like Nite of a Thousand Laughs, and musicians who use NP in their lyrics.

If anyone has any opinions on this please get in touch, I would like to ask you a few questions.

Thanks for reading,

Mark

Thanks Mimi!

If Pidgin has become your way of life, in what kind of situations to you think it is most appropriate to speak it? And do you think it is perceived any differently now than maybe it used to be?
