Are you saying to render these people including children homeless is a sign of development? Please think again. The action is cruel. He could have done better.  Maybe we should then take over his mansions bought or built with stolen money and render him homeless forever and ever……..Amen. The same thing should apply to every politician in the country b’cos they are thieves with mansions, palaces, castles and fortresses. I hope and pray you’ll never be homeless and destitute. No one knows tomorrow.

Though most foreigners and journalist  used Makoko Residents to judge living standard in Nigeria. Makoko settlement is a breeding place for bacteria and disease that  can spread to other area in Lagos and entire country. If it not check the population will grow up 2 million people in a few years in the area. Yes the past stupid army regime where busying stealing the nation money. The Lagos state government  trying to bring glory to the dirty environment. But one thing the government would have done was to register each household and ask each household to contribute one hundred thousand naira toward new settlement  to  a cheap new settlement far away from the water so they can start farming. Nothing is permanent only people can adjust to meet  daily living standard.

WHAT A DIRTY STATEMENT FROM A NIGERIAN, WHY WONT U SUPPORT UR GOVERNOR WHEN U ARE NOT AFFECTED BUT I BELIEVE U DONT HAVE ANY HUMAN FEELINGS, AS FOR MR GOVERNOR I AM A NIGERIAN IN PARIS ,NIGERIANS ABROAD ARE PROUD OF YOU BUT AS FOR THE ISSUE OF PEOPLE LEAVING THEIR HOMES IN 72 HRS IS VERY BAD WITHOUT PROVIDING ANOTHER ACCOMODATION FOR THEM. fashola is not a wicked governor. In Nigeria there is no law and order in Nigeria. Have you watched CNN, they are mocking Lagos because of that dirt urban filt or squalor called makoko. i support the demolition but they should first be relocated to another place. This man talking like this if you happen to go abroad and present yourself as a nigeria, they will mock you because of makoko, they will call you a GUTTER PERSON
