BUSTED!!! [Photos] EFCC Arrests And Parade 20 Internet Fraudsters

A Press Release From EFCC

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has arrested twenty suspected internet fraudsters. The arrest which was carried out  in a joint operation with officers of the 4 Brigade of the Nigerian Army, Benin, followed intelligence report on their activities. They were nabbed in a surprise raid on their Cyber office tucked in an old building located on Siluko Road, Benin City.

At the point of arrest, the fraudsters had in their possession forty five (45) laptops of different make, twenty eight (28) telephone sets, eight ( internet mobile modems and one Nissan car with registration number USL 375 AG.

The suspected fraudsters who are mostly in their twenties includes: Idehen Obabueki, Adesa Lucky, Usuagu Uche, Eloghosa Olikiabor, Larry Edomwonyi, Amowie Maike, Francis Ezegbede, Itua Samuel and Endurance John Egbeifo. Others are Amego Ovenseri, Iyen Ighodaro, Philip Agbodori, Lucky Robinson, Nnadi Obinna, Osabuohien Osahon, Chinenu Eze, Peter Sunday, Solomon Ogu, Niyi Femi and Osagie Aghedo.

The suspects have made useful statements. Most of them confessed to be engaged in online dating of foreigners particularly widows. They also confessed to using different pseudo names and faces to deceive their prospective victims. They will be charged to court as soon as investigation is concluded.

Na only poor people na dem Nigeria criminal law dey affect!, EFCC abi una no know say all the people wey de for Aso rock na thieves dem be?, including Goodluck + Obasanjo!. EFCC, if say una really wan fight crime and elliminate all sorts of criminalities in Naija!, pls make una first kill all our leaders including past and present ones dem, and make una kill una selves bcos una bi big-big criminals as well.

Though i do not support internet crime but i feel the problem facing Nigeria has nothing to do with yahoo boys...... Our problem is with public officer holders/politicians that are have raped the country silly..... It's close to a year since Farouk Lawal was practically caught taking bribe from Otedola and and we are talking today, non of was paraded neither have they been charged to court yet..... The other man that stole 27 billion naira was only sentenced to 2 years imprisonment with option of 750,000 after a very long drama...... Evident s abound of Governors, Ministers, Legislators etc that have stolen billions and instead of going after them efcc is wasting time and resources going after petty yahoo boys that are deceiving foreigners on net and tomorrow they will say they lack funds and personnels to prosecute all these high profile criminals .... What a misplacement of priority
